Day in the Life of the Courts
Photo tours of a typical day in some of California's Superior Courts.

People come to courthouses to work, to file papers, to pay fines, to give testimony, to serve as jurors, to lend support to others. But they fundamentally come at pivotal moments in their lives - in search of justice. Courthouses are extraordinarily active and inherently dramatic places. These exhibitions capture the diversity and drama at one of California's 58 trial courts on a single day.
